TheNHA should have a AAR9271 and not the L as the table below proves:ĪLFA AWUS036NH: RALINK RT3070L-ALFA AWUS036NHA: AtherosAR9271L-ALFA AWUS036NHA (GE): AtherosAR9271L => the AWUS036NH has a RT3070L, and what the L means here i cant seem to find anything on that but, looking at other chip naming schemes, Low-Cost variant, or Low-Power Variant seem the most likely candidates. => the AWUS036NHA (both) have the AR9271L chip where L = Low-Cost Variant. Here are the results and none of the adapters have the original "advertised" chip. I found both not to perform in a way claimed by others, so i opened them up ,and while i was opening up wifi interfaces i decided to check my 3rd ALFA usb wifi adapter aswell,Ī (now EOL) AWUS036NH wich has a RALINK RT3070 wifi chip I own 2 of them, an "Original " one with there seal on the bottom, and a german revision. Wich comes with the famous Atheros AR9271 wifi chip. Held in highest regard and one of the most popular devices used for wifi pentesting is their AWUS036NHA, (all over the internet but on their own site aswell) Alfa Network ( ) has gotten a reputation of producing high quality network devices ,Īnd some of there products are loved by linux users and are recommended for use with kali linux for testing wifi security.
